Product details

1A synchronous buck with a wide input window

The MAX1684EEE+ is a 1A step-down (buck) switching regulator from Analog Devices, built for designs that need to pull a clean 1.25V to 14V rail from a 2.7V to 14V source. The integrated synchronous rectifier eliminates the external Schottky diode, so the BOM stays lean and the efficiency curve holds up at lower output voltages. Switching at 300 kHz, the regulator balances inductor size against ripple — a 10 µH to 22 µH part covers most output combinations. The output is adjustable via a resistor divider, but the fixed 3.3 V version (the same die, just strapped differently) is also available under the same order code.

Package, temperature, and board-fit

The tube packaging is the factory-shipping format — suitable for hand-assembly or low-volume rework. For automated pick-and-place, the same die is also available in tape-and-reel under a different order suffix; confirm the reel quantity with your distributor at quote time.
