3-channel linear LED driver for automotive lighting strings
The MAX16823AUE/V+T is a linear LED driver from Analog Devices, delivering three independently controlled outputs at 100 mA per channel. It operates from a 5.5 V to 40 V supply rail and can drive LED strings up to 39.3 V, making it suitable for automotive exterior and interior lighting where the battery voltage swings from cold-crank to load-dump. PWM dimming is integrated on-chip, allowing brightness control via an external PWM signal without additional components. The linear topology keeps switching noise out of the LED current path, which matters for rear-combination lamps and daytime running lights where conducted emissions targets are tight.

A 105 °C dashboard ambient on a summer day still leaves margin before the die hits the abs-max junction limit. The 16-TSSOP-EP package includes an exposed pad on the underside.
