PWM dimming and linear regulation
The PWM dimming input accepts an external logic-level signal to modulate the LED current between zero and the full 350mA set point. Because this is a linear driver — not a switching converter — there is no inductor or switching noise, which simplifies EMI compliance for automotive lighting modules. The trade-off is that all voltage drop between the supply and the LED string is dissipated as heat in the package. Verify the thermal budget: at 14V input driving a 10V LED stack at 350mA, the part dissipates about 1.4W. The exposed pad must be soldered to a sufficient copper plane on the PCB to keep the junction below 125°C.
Lifecycle and compliance
No end-of-life notification or last-time-buy schedule is in effect for this order code. The part is RoHS3 compliant. For automotive OEM programs, the -40°C to 125°C operating range aligns with AEC-Q100 Grade 1 requirements, though the evidence does not explicitly list AEC-Q100 certification — the buyer should request the qualification report from the manufacturer if PPAP documentation is needed.
