Boost converter for battery-powered and low-voltage rails
The Maxim Integrated MAX1675EUA+T is a step-up (boost) DC-DC converter in a compact 8-uMAX/uSOP surface-mount package. It accepts an input voltage as low as 0.7 V and delivers an adjustable output up to 5.5 V, with fixed 2 V, 3.3 V, or 5 V options selectable via the output voltage programming pin. The internal switch is rated for 360 mA, making it suitable for powering small loads from single-cell batteries, Li-ion cells, or 3.3 V/5 V rails in portable instruments, IoT endpoints, and industrial sensors.
Input range and output flexibility
The 0.7 V minimum input lets the converter start from a nearly depleted alkaline or NiMH cell. The 5.5 V maximum input and output ceiling keeps the part in the low-voltage domain, so it pairs naturally with 3.3 V or 5 V logic rails without needing an external LDO. The synchronous rectifier improves efficiency at moderate loads by replacing the catch diode with a low-Rds(on) FET.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in an 8-pin 3 mm × 3 mm uMAX/uSOP, the MAX1675EUA+T fits dense layouts where board area is tight. The -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range covers industrial environments—outdoor telecom gear, factory-floor sensors, and automotive cabin applications that don't require AEC-Q100 qualification.
Lifecycle and sourcing
The MAX1675EUA+T carries an Active lifecycle status and is ROHS3 compliant.
