Six-rail supervisor in a 10-pin MSOP
The MAX16055BAUB+ from Maxim Integrated is a multi-voltage supervisor that monitors up to six supply voltages simultaneously, packing six comparators and a precision reference into a 10-uMAX/uSOP package. It asserts a common active-low reset output (open-drain) whenever any monitored rail falls below its programmed threshold, and holds reset for a minimum of 140 ms after all rails recover — enough time for the system power supplies and oscillators to stabilise before the processor boots. Six selectable threshold combinations let you cover the most common core, I/O, memory, and auxiliary voltages without external resistor dividers, saving board area and BOM cost. The thresholds are factory-programmed per the ordering option; the BAUB+ suffix corresponds to one of the standard threshold sets listed in the datasheet's ordering table. Rated for -40°C to +125°C ambient operation, the part suits industrial motor drives, base-station line cards, automotive ECUs, and any multi-rail embedded system that needs reliable power-fail detection across temperature.
Reset timeout and threshold selection — what they mean for your design
The reset output stays asserted for a minimum of 140 ms after all monitored voltages rise above their thresholds. Six monitored channels allow supervision of multiple supply rails in a single IC. The open-drain output can be wired-OR with other reset sources.
Package and mounting
The part is housed in a 10-lead TFSOP/MSOP with 0.118-inch body width (3.00 mm) and is a surface-mount device. The 10-uMAX/uSOP package shares the same footprint.
Lifecycle and sourcing
It is fully ROHS3 compliant.
