Power-rail watchdog and sequencing in one 4x4 mm QFN
The Maxim MAX16050ETI+ is a power-supply monitor and sequencer IC that watches multiple rails and controls their power-up/down order in a single 28-TQFN (4x4 mm) package. It accepts a wide 2.7V to 13.2V supply — covering 3.3V, 5V, and 12V buses without an extra regulator — and draws 700 µA quiescent current, low enough to leave on the always-on rail.
Supply range and quiescent budget
The 2.7V to 13.2V input span lets you tap the same rail you are monitoring — no separate bias supply needed. At 700 µA supply current the part stays alive through a brown-out event without loading the bus. For a 12 V system that is 8.4 mW; on a 3.3 V standby rail it is 2.3 mW, negligible in a 10 W+ system budget.
Package and thermal handling
Housed in a 28-WFQFN with exposed pad (4x4 mm body), the MAX16050ETI+ is a surface-mount device. The exposed pad is the main thermal path — a via stitch to the ground plane under the pad keeps junction temperature under control when the part is sequencing multiple rails.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
ROHS3 compliant.
