What the 4-channel sequencer does on the board
The MAX16029TG+T is a voltage sequencer that monitors four supply rails and asserts an active-low reset when any monitored voltage falls below its threshold. The output is open-drain, so multiple supervisors can wire-OR their reset signals onto a shared line without contention. Reset timeout is 140 ms by default, but an external capacitor can adjust it to a longer interval — useful when a downstream rail needs extra settling time before the system comes out of reset.
Threshold flexibility and temperature range
The threshold selection is set by pin strapping, so a single BOM position serves multiple board variants by changing a jumper or solder-bridge option. A system that sees 105°C on a hot factory floor still has 20°C of headroom before the supervisor's own thermal limits are reached.
Package fit and board integration
The tape-and-reel packaging option supports automated pick-and-place; the cut-tape option is available for prototype runs.
