What this sequencer does on your power rail
The MAX16026TE+ from Analog Devices is a voltage sequencer — not just a reset generator — that monitors two supply rails and holds downstream circuitry in reset until both rails are stable. It asserts a push-pull, active-low reset output and keeps it low for a 140 ms timeout (or an adjustable minimum if you set it longer with an external capacitor). That sequenced start-up prevents bus contention and inrush collisions on multi-voltage boards.
Temperature range and where it fits
Rated for -40°C to 125°C ambient, this part handles industrial enclosures, outdoor telecom cabinets, and under-hood automotive electronics where the board sees engine bay heat. The 16-TQFN (4x4) package with exposed pad pulls heat into the PCB ground plane, so layout needs a thermal via pattern under the pad for full current handling.
Threshold selection and monitoring
The device offers 9 selectable threshold combinations for the two monitored voltages.
Lifecycle and supply reality
No last-time-buy risk for new designs.
