Two-rail supervisor for mixed-voltage boards
The MAX16011TAB+T monitors two independent voltage rails and asserts a single active-low reset output when either rail falls below its programmed threshold. The open-drain output lets multiple supervisors share a common pull-up resistor in a wired-OR reset scheme — a common topology on multi-voltage processor boards where each rail needs its own monitor but the CPU sees one reset line. Thresholds are adjustable via external resistor dividers, so the same part number covers any rail voltage from roughly 0.6 V up to the supply limit. The reset timeout is under 1 ms minimum — fast enough to catch a brownout glitch that a longer timeout would mask, but short enough that the downstream processor completes its reset sequence before the next power-good event.
Temperature range and package footprint
Surface-mount assembly on a standard 0.8 mm FR-4 board with a 2-layer stack-up is sufficient; the exposed pad does not require a dedicated ground plane layer, but a solid copper pour on the top layer under the part improves thermal spreading.
