What This Supervisor Monitors and Where It Fits
The MAX16010TAA+T is a multi-voltage supervisor from Analog Devices that monitors two independent supply rails. It asserts a reset output when either rail falls below its threshold, and releases after a timeout of less than 1 ms minimum. The reset output is active low and open drain, which means you can wire-OR it with other reset sources or use a pull-up resistor to match the downstream logic voltage — handy when the supervisor runs at 3.3 V but the FPGA reset input is 1.8 V. The threshold voltage is adjustable or selectable, giving flexibility to monitor custom rail voltages without changing the IC.
Temperature Range and Package — Board-Level Fit
That 125°C ceiling means it can sit near a hot processor or in an engine-bay enclosure without thermal derating. Housed in an 8-WDFN exposed-pad package, supplier device package 8-TDFN (3x3 mm). The exposed pad needs a thermal via pattern to the ground plane — without it, the junction temperature climbs faster than the ambient rating suggests. The 3x3 mm footprint is compact enough for space-constrained designs but still hand-solderable with a fine tip.
Sourcing Status — Active Production, No Obsolescence Watch
Lifecycle status is Active — Analog Devices is still manufacturing this part. ROHS3 compliant, which covers the current EU exemption list. No lead-free transition risk for designs that need to stay compliant through 2026 and beyond. Sourced per RFQ against your BOM quantity.
