Active production — BOM-fit for hot-swap designs
The MAX15096GWE+T: It integrates a 6A internal switch and operates from a 2.7V to 18V supply rail — the single-channel controller manages inrush current and protects downstream circuitry against overcurrent, overvoltage, and undervoltage events in general-purpose board-level power distribution.
Programmable protection and thermal envelope
The controller's programmable circuit breaker, current limit, OVP, UVLO, and slew-rate control let the designer set the protection thresholds to match the load — no external supervisory IC is needed for these functions. Rated for the -40°C to +105°C industrial temperature range, the device suits outdoor telecom, base-station line cards, and industrial control backplanes where hot-swap insertion is routine. Its 580 µA supply current keeps the quiescent overhead low in always-on rails, and the fault-handling options — auto retry, fault timeout, or latched fault — let the system designer choose the response to a sustained overcurrent condition.
16-WLP package and board integration
Housed in a 16-bump WLP (wafer-level package) measuring roughly 2.2 mm × 2.2 mm, the MAX15096GWE+T occupies minimal PCB area — the 0.4 mm pitch requires careful fan-out but enables placement close to the edge connector or backplane slot where hot-swap control is needed. RoHS3 compliant with no exemptions.
