1 A adjustable LDO in a 3×3 mm TDFN
The MAX15027ATB+T is a single-output positive linear regulator from Analog Devices, delivering up to 1 A with an adjustable output from 0.5 V to 3.3 V. Housed in a 10-TDFN (3×3 mm) exposed-pad package, it's a compact fit for space-constrained power rails. With a maximum dropout of just 0.225 V at 1 A, the headroom needed between input and output is minimal — useful when the input rail is tight, like a 3.3 V bus dropping to 3.0 V.
Dropout, quiescent current, and protection
Quiescent current is 410 µA typical, with a maximum supply current of 560 µA — low enough that the regulator's own draw won't dominate the budget in a battery-powered sensor node that spends most of its time in a low-power state. The enable pin lets you gate the output for sequencing or shutdown; the soft-start feature limits inrush current on power-up, which avoids drooping the upstream rail when a large output capacitor is present. Built-in over-temperature and short-circuit protection keep the part from self-destructing under a fault — the thermal shutdown cycle restarts once the die cools.
