Half-bridge gate driver with 2 A peak drive and 175 V bootstrap ceiling
The MAX15013AASA+T: It operates from an 8V to 12.6V supply rail and delivers 2A peak source and 2A peak sink current, enough to charge and discharge the gate capacitance of medium-power MOSFETs without an external buffer stage. The bootstrap high-side supply is rated to 175 V maximum, setting the ceiling for the DC bus voltage in the half-bridge leg. With 65 ns typical rise and fall times, the driver switches the MOSFET gates quickly enough to keep transition losses manageable at switching frequencies typical of DC-DC converters and motor drives.
Logic interface and temperature range for industrial power stages
The non-inverting input type means the output follows the input polarity — useful when the PWM controller already handles dead-time insertion. The 8-SOIC package (0.154" width, 3.90 mm body) fits a standard SOIC-8 footprint, though the lack of an exposed thermal pad means the junction-to-ambient thermal resistance is higher than in power-pad packages — the 2 A peak current is a transient rating, not continuous.
Active lifecycle and compliance status
RoHS3 compliant (2015/863/EU), the part is free from the ten restricted substances including the four phthalates added in the latest amendment.
