The MAX1498ECJ+ is a 4.5-digit ADC from Analog Devices, sampling at 50 sps across two channels. It operates from a single 2.7V to 5.25V supply, making it suitable for battery-powered or single-rail instrumentation where a dual supply is unavailable.
The 2.7V minimum supply allows it to run from a 3V lithium cell or a 3.3V rail with headroom to spare. The single-supply architecture eliminates the need for a negative rail — the ADC handles bipolar input signals internally from a single positive supply.
Housed in a 32-LQFP (7x7 mm) package, the MAX1498ECJ+ is a surface-mount device supplied in tray format. The 50 sps sampling rate is a low-speed integrating architecture — the conversion result is inherently immune to high-frequency noise, so the layout can prioritise analog signal integrity over high-speed routing constraints.
