What this 4-channel capacitive isolator delivers
The Maxim MAX14932CAWE+ is a 4-channel, unidirectional digital isolator using capacitive coupling to pass signals across a 2750 Vrms isolation barrier. It handles data rates up to 150 Mbps with typical propagation delays of 7.5 ns and pulse-width distortion under 1 ns — fast enough for SPI buses, UART links, and general-purpose logic isolation where timing margin matters. The 2/2 channel split (two inputs on side 1, two on side 2) suits bidirectional data paths like isolated SPI with separate MISO and MOSI lines. Supply voltage spans 1.71 V to 5.5 V. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C. Common-mode transient immunity is 25 kV/µs (typical).
Package and footprint
Housed in a 16-pin SOIC with a 7.50 mm body width (0.295" wide), the MAX14932CAWE+ occupies the same footprint as standard wide-body SOIC-16 isolators. Surface-mount assembly; the wide-body package provides the creepage distance needed to maintain the 2750 Vrms isolation rating across the PCB. Tube shipment — plan for tray or tape-and-reel if pick-and-place volume requires it.
