3A half-bridge driver for 12V/24V brushed DC motors

The MAX14872ETC+T is a fully integrated brushed DC motor driver from Analog Devices, combining control logic and power stage in a single 12-TDFN (3x3 mm) package. The two half-bridge outputs allow bidirectional control of a single brushed DC motor or independent unidirectional drive of two smaller loads. The Bi-CMOS process keeps switching losses low enough that the exposed paddle on the 12-TDFN handles the thermal load without active cooling in most panel-mount enclosures.

Supply flexibility and thermal envelope

The parallel interface simplifies connection to a host MCU: no SPI or I²C overhead, just logic-level direction and PWM inputs. Rated junction temperature from -40°C to 150°C, the driver survives the thermal cycling of an outdoor pump controller or a conveyor drive in an unventilated cabinet.
