IO-Link transceiver with wide supply range
The MAX14827AATG+ is an IO-Link transceiver from Analog Devices, integrating two drivers and two receivers in a single 24-TQFN package. It operates from a 9V to 60V supply rail, covering the full IO-Link power class range without an external regulator.
Receiver hysteresis and signal integrity
The receiver hysteresis is specified at 570 mV, which filters noise on long cable runs common in IO-Link installations — a 20-meter M12 cable picks up enough coupled noise that a lower hysteresis threshold would false-trigger. With two independent driver/receiver channels, the part can handle both the CQ (communication) and the DI/DO lines in a single IC, reducing BOM count on a 4-port hub.
It is ROHS3 compliant, so it passes the EU RoHS exemption review for lead-free assembly.
