12-bit SAR ADC with a flexible front end
The MAX147BCAP+ is a 12-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Analog Devices, built around a MUX-S/H-ADC architecture that handles either four differential or eight single-ended inputs through a single conversion core. The SPI data interface keeps wiring simple — three or four lines to the host controller, no parallel bus overhead. Sampling at 133k samples per second, it fits applications like multichannel data acquisition, battery monitoring, or sensor front ends where 12-bit resolution is enough and you want to avoid a separate analog multiplexer.
Package and temperature — indoor use, compact footprint
Housed in a 20-pin SSOP (5.30 mm body width), the MAX147BCAP+ is a surface-mount part. The 0°C to 70°C commercial temperature range limits it to indoor environments.
