RS485 bus transceiver with 500 kbps data rate and 10 mV hysteresis
The MAX14782EAUA+T is a half-duplex transceiver supporting RS422 and RS485 protocols, built for single-ended data rates up to 500 kbps. The 10 mV receiver hysteresis filters noise on long twisted-pair runs without external conditioning — typical for industrial fieldbus drops where cable length exceeds 100 m. A single driver and single receiver pair (1/1 count) matches the two-wire bus topology common in Modbus RTU and similar multi-drop networks.
The 8-uMAX/uSOP package (3.00 mm width, 0.118" pitch) fits small-footprint designs with a standard surface-mount reflow profile. Supplier device package is 8-uMAX/uSOP — the same 3×3 mm body as the MSOP-8, but with a slightly different leadframe. Both footprints are interchangeable on the same PCB land pattern.
