8:1 multiplexer with 20 MHz bandwidth and 130 Ohm Ron
The MAX14752EUE+ is an 8:1 analog multiplexer from Analog Devices, routing one of eight inputs to a common output through a single-pole, eight-throw (SP8T) topology. The 130 Ohm maximum on-resistance sets the voltage-divider error in the signal path — for a 10 kOhm load, the insertion loss is roughly 1.3 %, negligible for most precision analog front-ends but worth budgeting in a high-impedance sensor chain. The -3 dB bandwidth of 20 MHz means the switch passes signals up to the low-MHz range without significant roll-off, suitable for multiplexing audio, instrumentation, or moderate-speed data acquisition channels. Crosstalk of -62 dB at 100 kHz tells you how much of an adjacent channel leaks into the selected path — at that level, a 10 Vpp signal on an unselected channel couples roughly 8 mV into the active channel, which is acceptable for 12-bit systems but may limit 16-bit dynamic range in dense multiplexing.
Supply flexibility: single-rail up to 72 V or dual ±10 V to ±36 V
This covers common industrial rails: a 48 V single supply for factory-floor sensors, or ±15 V for precision analog signal chains. The dual-supply mode lets the switch handle bipolar signals without level-shifting at the input. Charge injection is 200 pC typical — the amount of charge dumped onto the signal line when the switch turns off. For a 100 pF sampling capacitor, that translates to a 2 V glitch, which matters in sample-and-hold or integrator circuits. The 20 nA maximum off-leakage current (IS(off)) keeps the DC error low in high-impedance nodes. Channel-to-channel on-resistance matching is 500 mOhm maximum, so the Ron variation between any two channels stays under half an ohm. This matters when the multiplexer is used in a ratiometric measurement or a gain-set resistor network where channel-to-channel consistency is the spec that governs accuracy.
16-TSSOP package and industrial temperature range
Housed in a 16-lead TSSOP (4.40 mm body width, 0.65 mm pitch), the MAX14752EUE+ fits a standard surface-mount footprint. The supplier device package is the same 16-TSSOP, so no footprint variation between the generic and the Analog Devices-specific ordering code. The temperature grade does not extend to automotive under-hood (+125 °C), so it is suited for factory-floor control cabinets, test equipment, and base-station backplanes rather than engine-bay electronics.
