Simultaneous-sampling SAR ADC, 1.25 Msps, 12-bit
The MAX1377ATP+ is a 12-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Analog Devices that samples two or four analog inputs simultaneously at 1.25 Msps. Simultaneous sampling means the voltage on each input is captured at the same instant — critical for motor-phase current sensing, power inverter feedback, or multi-axis vibration monitoring where phase alignment matters. The input multiplexer accepts either two differential or four single-ended signals, configurable through the SPI/DSP serial interface. The internal or external reference option lets you trade absolute accuracy against BOM cost: the internal reference is adequate for most industrial monitoring; an external precision reference improves gain error for metering applications.
Supply rails and temperature grade
The 20-TQFN (5x5 mm) exposed-pad package requires a thermal land on the PCB to conduct heat to the ground plane. The datasheet's recommended footprint and solder stencil aperture are on page 7; following that layout keeps the thermal resistance within the design margin.
Active production, ROHS3 compliant
It is ROHS3 compliant, which means it meets the current EU exemption-free restriction levels for lead, cadmium, and other substances.
