10-bit SAR ADC with I2C and selectable address
The MAX1361EUB+ is a 10-bit successive-approximation register (SAR) ADC from Analog Devices, configured as a MUX-S/H-ADC with a 1:1 S/H-to-ADC ratio. It samples at 94.4k samples per second, making it suited for moderate-speed data acquisition where resolution and serial bus integration matter more than raw throughput. Communication runs over an I2C interface, and the selectable address feature lets multiple devices share the same two-wire bus without address conflicts — useful when you need several ADC channels across a single backplane or sensor array.
Input flexibility and single-supply operation
The front-end accepts either differential or single-ended inputs, with a total of 2 differential or 4 single-ended channels selectable through the internal mux. This covers both ratiometric bridge sensors (differential) and simple voltage monitors (single-ended) from the same part. The reference can be internal or external, giving the designer a choice between board-space savings and absolute accuracy.
