The MAX13450EAUD+T: This is a single-channel RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with full-duplex capability, meaning it can transmit and receive simultaneously on a balanced pair — useful for point-to-point or multi-drop links where the bus direction is fixed. Data rate is 20 Mbps, which covers most industrial fieldbus and motor-drive feedback links (Profibus, Modbus RTU at higher baud rates, encoder interfaces) without pushing the bus timing margin.

Supply rail and temperature range

The 15 mV receiver hysteresis cleans up slow edges on long cable runs, reducing noise-induced bit errors.
