The MAX13330GEE/V+ is a Class AB stereo headphone amplifier delivering 135mW per channel into a 32 Ohm load — enough drive for aftermarket head units and OEM infotainment systems where the audio path runs through a headphone jack or auxiliary output. AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualification (-40°C to +105°C ambient) means it handles the temperature swings inside a dashboard or centre console without the output stage drifting into distortion.
Supply rails and protection for automotive bus noise
Runs on a 4V to 5.5V supply — a single 5V rail from the car's USB charger or the infotainment board's local regulator is all it needs, with enough headroom to ride through the 500mV ripple typical on automotive 5V buses. Built-in depop circuitry suppresses the thump when the amplifier powers up or shuts down, and short-circuit protection on each output channel keeps the headphone jack from taking out the amplifier if the cable gets yanked.
