133k SPS, 12-bit SAR ADC with single-supply flexibility
The MAX1247BCEE+ is a 12-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Analog Devices, sampling at 133k samples per second. The input multiplexer supports two differential or four single-ended channels, configurable via the SPI interface. The external reference input lets you set the full-scale range to match the sensor output swing, rather than being locked to the supply rail.
The QSOP footprint is rework-friendly under hot air — the leads are exposed, so you can wet them with flux and lift the part cleanly without heating the whole board. Pin 1 is marked by a molded notch on the package top; the orientation is unambiguous under a microscope. For extended industrial or automotive environments, the wider-temperature siblings in the MAX1247 family are the better fit.
It is also ROHS3 compliant, so it meets the current EU restriction on hazardous substances without a transition risk.
