73k samples/sec, 10-bit SAR ADC for single-channel sensor acquisition
The MAX1243BESA+ is a 10-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Analog Devices, sampling at 73k samples per second over an SPI serial interface. The single-ended input with a 1:1 S/H-to-ADC ratio means one analog channel is converted each conversion cycle — suited for applications where a single sensor voltage (0 V to Vref) is digitized and read by a microcontroller over a three-wire SPI bus. The external reference (not on-chip) sets the full-scale input range; the buyer must provide a stable reference voltage, typically 2.5 V or 4.096 V, depending on the sensor output span.
The part is RoHS3 compliant (lead-free) and ships in tubes.
