12-bit SAR with I2C — 94.4kSPS and input flexibility
The MAX1238EEE+T is a 12-bit successive-approximation (SAR) ADC with a 94.4k samples-per-second conversion rate, communicating over an I2C interface. It accepts up to 6 differential or 12 single-ended inputs, configurable per channel — a single part covers both ratiometric and remote-sensor topologies without an external mux. The internal reference eliminates the need for an external voltage source in most applications, though an external reference can override it when tighter accuracy or a different span is required. The 1:1 S/H-to-ADC ratio means each sample is taken directly from the input, not averaged across multiple conversions.
5V rail, industrial temperature, 16-pin QSOP
Both analog and digital supplies run from a single 5V rail, simplifying the power tree — no separate AVDD/DVDD sequencing needed.
