12-bit SAR ADC with 94.4 kSps — the throughput decision
12-bit resolution with a successive-approximation register (SAR) architecture. The 94.4 kSps sampling rate is the aggregate throughput — with two differential or four single-ended inputs multiplexed through a 1:1 S/H-ADC ratio, each input sees the full rate only when the others are idle. For a four-channel scan at 94.4 kSps, each channel effectively samples at 23.6 kSps. The I²C data interface runs at standard/fast-mode speeds; the 94.4 kSps throughput requires the bus clock to keep up with the conversion results. At 400 kHz I²C, a 12-bit read takes about 30 µs, leaving headroom for the conversion time.
Supply rail and input configuration
No separate AVDD/DVDD rails needed — the part runs off one 3.3 V or 2.8 V rail, which simplifies the power tree on a mixed-signal board. Inputs configurable as two differential pairs or four single-ended channels. The reference can be external or internal, giving the designer control over the full-scale range. Differential mode rejects common-mode noise on long sensor leads; single-ended mode conserves pin count for simpler signals.
8-uMAX package — board integration
8-TSSOP / 8-MSOP footprint, 3.00 mm body width, supplied as 8-uMAX/uSOP. Tape & Reel or Cut Tape packaging — the reel quantity suits production pick-and-place; Cut Tape works for prototype builds.
