8-bit 45 Msps dual ADC in a 5x5 mm QFN
The MAX1193ETI+ is an 8-bit pipelined ADC from Analog Devices, sampling at 45 Msps per channel with two internal converters running simultaneously. The dual-channel simultaneous sampling architecture captures two signals at the same instant, eliminating the phase skew that sequential multiplexing introduces — useful for I/Q demodulation or multi-phase current sensing where the timing relationship between channels must be preserved. Inputs accept both differential and single-ended signals, with a 1:1 S/H-to-ADC ratio per channel. The parallel data interface keeps the output bus simple for FPGA or DSP capture without a serial deserializer.
Package and board-fit: 28-TQFN with exposed pad
Housed in a 28-lead WFQFN with exposed pad (supplier package 28-TQFN, 5x5 mm), the part is surface-mount only. Without this thermal relief, the junction temperature rises above the 85°C operating ceiling under continuous 45 Msps conversion.
Active lifecycle and compliance
It is ROHS3 compliant (lead-free, no exemptions). The part ships in tray packaging, not tape-and-reel, so plan for manual or tray-fed pick-and-place handling. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, covering industrial environments. The reference type is selectable between internal and external — the internal reference simplifies the BOM for single-supply designs, while an external reference improves drift and accuracy when the system demands tighter than the internal ±1% tolerance.
