What the 94.4 kSps and 10-bit SAR buy you
94.4 kSps sampling rate with a 10-bit successive-approximation register (SAR) core — the architecture gives a deterministic conversion time per sample, no pipeline latency. For a multi-channel front end scanning 8 inputs, each channel gets about 11.8 kSps of effective throughput before the MUX cycles back. Input flexibility: the part accepts both differential and single-ended signals via the same MUX, configurable per channel. The 1:1 S/H:ADC ratio means each sample is acquired fresh from the input buffer — no shared hold capacitor contention when switching between a thermocouple (differential) and a pot divider (single-ended) on adjacent channels.
Package and supply-rail fit in a mixed-signal layout
16-SSOP (0.154-inch, 3.90 mm body width) and the identical-footprint 16-QSOP supplier package — 0.025-inch lead pitch, standard for medium-density mixed-signal boards.
