8-bit SAR ADC with I²C — what it does on your board
Typical applications include multi-channel data acquisition for industrial sensors, portable instrumentation where board space is tight, and battery-monitoring front-ends that need a simple I²C readout without a parallel bus. The -40°C to 85°C temperature grade covers most industrial and outdoor telecom enclosures.
Input flexibility and reference options
The MUX-S/H-ADC architecture means you can sequence through six differential pairs or twelve single-ended signals without an external analog switch. The pseudo-differential mode rejects common-mode noise on long sensor leads — useful when the signal source is a few metres from the ADC. Both an internal bandgap reference and an external reference input are available; the internal reference simplifies the BOM for moderate accuracy, while the external input lets you match the ADC span to a precision reference or ratiometric sensor supply.
Lifecycle and sourcing
The MAX11605EEE+T carries an Active lifecycle status and ROHS3 compliance.
