16-bit sigma-delta ADC for low-frequency precision measurement
The Maxim Integrated MAX11205AEUB+ is a 16-bit sigma-delta ADC with a single differential input and a serial data interface, sampling at 120 S/s. It is designed for precision measurement of low-bandwidth signals — think weigh scales, pressure transducers, thermocouples, or bridge sensors where noise rejection matters more than speed. The sigma-delta architecture pushes quantization noise out of the band of interest, and the differential input rejects common-mode interference from long sensor leads or industrial environments.
Supply rails and temperature range
Analog supply runs from 2.7 V to 3.6 V; the digital supply is independent at 1.7 V to 3.6 V. The -40°C to 85°C operating range covers industrial enclosures, outdoor telecom cabinets, and under-hood automotive sensor modules.
Package and mounting
Housed in a 10-pin uMAX/uSOP (3.00 mm width) surface-mount package, supplied in Tube. The small footprint suits space-constrained multi-channel boards where you need one ADC per sensor channel.
Lifecycle and sourcing
The MAX11205AEUB+ carries an Active lifecycle status and is ROHS3 compliant. For a BOM line that needs a low-speed, high-resolution ADC, this is a straightforward fit with no supply-chain urgency.
