12-bit, 3 Msps, dual-channel simultaneous SAR ADC
The MAX11190ATE+T is a 12-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC with two internal converters running simultaneously at 3 Msps each. It samples two single-ended inputs at the same clock edge — no phase skew between channels, which matters for correlating measurements like motor phase currents or dual-axis position feedback. The SPI data interface keeps the pin count low on the 16-TQFN (3x3) package. The external reference input lets you set the full-scale range ratiometrically or use a precision reference for absolute accuracy.
Sampling rate and temperature range
At 3 Msps per channel, the ADC completes a conversion in 333 ns. The SAR architecture gives a deterministic conversion time — no pipeline delay, so the sample timing is predictable cycle-to-cycle. This matters for control loops where jitter in the conversion start time adds noise. The 16-WFQFN exposed pad package helps conduct heat to the PCB copper plane, keeping the die temperature within limits even at full throughput in a warm enclosure.
Available in Tape & Reel (TR) for automated assembly or Cut Tape (CT) for prototyping.
