16-bit SAR ADC with 250k SPS for precision signal chains
The MAX11163EUB+ is a 16-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC sampling at 250k samples per second — fast enough to capture audio-band or vibration signals with headroom for oversampling. The single pseudo-differential input accepts a signal referenced to a common ground while rejecting low-frequency common-mode noise, which simplifies front-end design when the sensor and ADC share a ground plane. Data is read out over an SPI or DSP-compatible serial interface, so the ADC connects directly to an MCU or FPGA without glue logic. The 5 V analog supply and separate 2.3 V to 5 V digital supply let the digital I/O run at the host's logic level, saving a level shifter.
Industrial temperature range and small-footprint package
The 10-MSOP package (3.00 mm width) fits tight PCB layouts, and the external reference input allows the user to set the full-scale range to match the signal amplitude.
