8-bit SAR ADC with flexible input mux
The MAX11142ATI+ is an 8-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Analog Devices, sampling at 500k samples per second over an SPI interface. It accepts differential, pseudo-differential, or single-ended inputs through an internal multiplexer, configurable as four differential or eight single-ended channels. The single 2.35 V to 3.6 V supply rail powers both analog and digital sections, simplifying the power tree. Housed in a 28-TQFN (5x5 mm) package with an exposed pad for thermal relief, it operates across the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, making it a fit for motor-drive feedback, automotive sensor acquisition, and outdoor instrumentation where the board sees wide thermal swings.
Input flexibility — differential or single-ended
The mux accepts differential, pseudo-differential, or single-ended signals. Differential mode rejects common-mode noise on twisted-pair runs from remote sensors; single-ended mode doubles the channel count to eight when the signal source is local and ground-referenced.
Active lifecycle — no LTB risk
The MAX11142ATI+ carries an active product status and is ROHS3 compliant. There is no last-time-buy notice or end-of-life signal.
