14-bit sigma-delta ADC in a 16-pin DIP
The MAX110BCPE+ is a 14-bit sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices, configured as a MUX-ADC with two differential inputs. It samples at 50 SPS and communicates over an SPI interface — the low rate and sigma-delta architecture make it suited for precision DC measurements where noise rejection matters more than throughput.
Package and board-fit: 16-PDIP through-hole
Housed in a 16-lead PDIP (0.300-inch body width, 7.62 mm), this is a through-hole part — the board gets a drilled plated-hole footprint, not a surface-mount pad. The tube packaging keeps the leads aligned for hand-insertion or wave-solder; no moisture sensitivity level bake is needed before assembly. The supply rails are ±5 V for both analog and digital sections, so the board needs a bipolar rail — a single +5 V supply alone will not bias the ADC core. The external reference input means the reference voltage is set by an external source, not an on-chip bandgap.
