14-bit SAR ADC at 200 kSPS — SPI interface, single-ended input
The MAX1062BCUB+ is a 14-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Analog Devices, sampling at 200 kSPS over an SPI serial interface. The single-ended input and external reference architecture make it a drop-in for precision DC measurement or low-frequency signal chains where the converter's own noise floor is the limit, not the front-end driver. The 1:1 S/H-to-ADC ratio and single converter core mean the sample-and-hold aperture is deterministic — no channel-skew to budget in a multiplexed scan. For a firmware engineer, the SPI frame is straightforward: one conversion per 14-bit read, no configuration overhead beyond the reference voltage.
