USB isolator with on-board isolated power
This means you get a galvanically isolated USB port without needing a separate isolated power supply: the module generates its own isolated side power from the 4.4 V to 16.5 V input rail. The isolation rating is 2500 Vrms, using magnetic (transformer) coupling, and the data rate is 12 Mbps — full-speed USB 1.1/2.0 compatible. The single bidirectional channel handles USB D+ and D- signals.
Isolation barrier and transient immunity
The magnetic coupling technology delivers a common-mode transient immunity of 30 kV/µs minimum — important for rejecting fast transients in motor-drive or industrial environments where ground potential differences can spike. Propagation delay is 115 ns max in both directions, which is adequate for USB handshake timing at 12 Mbps. Rise and fall times are 20 ns typical (20 ns max), keeping signal edges clean within the USB specification.
