Programmable silicon oscillator for ultra-low-frequency timing
The LTC6995IDCB-1#TRMPBF is a silicon oscillator from the TimerBlox® family, covering a programmable frequency range from 29.1 µHz to 977 Hz. That bottom end — one cycle every ~9.5 hours — makes it a fit for long-period watchdog timers, periodic wake-up generators, or very low-speed data sampling clocks where a crystal would be overkill and a 555 timer drifts too much. Supply current is 135 µA typical, and the operating supply range spans 2.25 V to 5.5 V, so it runs directly off a 3.3 V or 5 V rail without an extra regulator.
Package and footprint for PCB layout
Housed in a 6-WFDFN with exposed pad, the supplier device package is 6-DFN (2x3 mm). The exposed pad needs a thermal via array under the part to pull heat into the ground plane — skipping that via cluster raises the junction temperature above the datasheet limit at high ambient. Surface-mount only; no through-hole variant exists in this series.
Active production and sourcing posture
ROHS3 compliant. Sourced through Analog Devices distribution; quoted to order against BOM quantity. No direct replacement or second-source listed — the LTC6995IDCB-2#TRMPBF is a sibling with the same package and supply voltage but a different frequency programming range, so verify the frequency code before substituting.
