What this silicon oscillator does that a crystal cannot
The LTC6995CS6-2#TRMPBF is a silicon oscillator from the TimerBlox® family that covers a frequency range of 29.1µHz to 977Hz — the low end is where a quartz crystal or a PLL-based clock needs a long counter chain to reach. At 135 µA supply current the part fits battery-powered or energy-harvested designs where every microamp is budgeted. Supply voltage spans 2.25V to 5.5V, so it runs on a 3.3V or 5V rail without an extra regulator — one less BOM line for the kitting list.
Package and supply rail fit
The TSOT-23-6 package (SOT-23-6 Thin) is a surface-mount footprint with 0.95 mm pitch — the same pad layout as a standard SOT-23-6, so no board spin if you are swapping from a different silicon oscillator in the same footprint. The 2.25V to 5.5V supply range covers the two most common logic rails; the 135 µA current draw means the part adds negligible load to a linear regulator or battery.
Active production — no LTB scramble
The line keeps running for the current build. ROHS3 compliant, so it passes the material declaration check without an exemption note.
