Silicon oscillator for ultra-low-frequency timing
The LTC6995CDCB-2#TRMPBF is a silicon oscillator from the TimerBlox® family, covering a frequency range from 29.1µHz up to 977Hz — that is one cycle every 9.5 hours at the low end, down to about 1 ms per cycle at the high end. This makes it a fit for long-period timers, watchdogs, or periodic wake-up generators where a crystal would be overkill or physically too large. It draws 135 µA typical supply current across the 2.25V to 5.5V range, so it can run directly off a 3.3V or 5V rail without a regulator. The commercial temperature grade (0°C to 70°C) suits indoor equipment, lab instruments, or office gear — not an engine bay or outdoor pole mount.
Package and footprint reality
Housed in a 6-WFDFN with exposed pad, 2x3 mm body. The exposed pad needs a thermal via or a solid copper pour underneath — not for power dissipation (135 µA is negligible), but for mechanical stability and a solid ground connection. The 0.50 mm pitch DFN is reworkable with hot air if you have a fine tip and steady hands; orientation is marked by a pin-1 chamfer and a dot on the package top.
Active production — no end-of-life concern
The TimerBlox® series is an ongoing Analog Devices portfolio, so this part is not a dead-end for a new design or a replacement run.
