Frequency range and what it buys the design
The LTC6995CDCB-1#TRMPBF is a silicon oscillator from the TimerBlox® family covering 29.1 µHz to 977 Hz — a span that reaches down to one cycle every ~9.5 hours. That ultra-low floor means you can generate long time delays (watchdog timeouts, periodic wake-ups, sensor sampling intervals) without a large external capacitor or a separate counter IC. The frequency is set by a single external resistor, no crystal or ceramic resonator needed.
Supply current and voltage — fit for battery rails
Quiescent supply current is 135 µA typical, which keeps the oscillator from dominating the sleep budget in a battery-powered system. The supply voltage range of 2.25 V to 5.5 V covers 3.3 V and 5 V rails without a separate regulator.
Package and footprint — 6-DFN with exposed pad
Housed in a 6-WFDFN exposed pad package (2 mm × 3 mm), the LTC6995CDCB-1#TRMPBF is a surface-mount device. The 0.50 mm pitch demands careful solder-paste stencil design; a 4-layer board is not required for fan-out, but a solid ground plane under the pad helps with both thermal and electrical performance.
