Clock distribution for mixed-signal boards
The LTC6957IMS-3#TRPBF is a 1:2 fanout buffer that accepts CML, CMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL inputs and delivers a single-ended CMOS output at up to 300 MHz.
Input flexibility, output simplicity
The input accepts four common differential and single-ended standards (CML, CMOS, LVDS, LVPECL), while the output is CMOS only — this is the -3 variant's defining trade-off compared to the -1 version which outputs LVPECL. The single 1:2 fanout is useful for splitting a reference clock to two ASICs or FPGAs without adding skew from separate buffers.
Active production, tape-and-reel delivery
It is supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) format in the 12-lead MSOP package, which is the same footprint as the 12-TSSOP — a common 0.65 mm pitch layout.
