This is the military-temperature grade of the LTC6930 family, rated for -55°C to 125°C — the widest temperature range in the series, suited for avionics, downhole, and other harsh-environment applications where a crystal oscillator would require additional compensation.
Supply voltage and current — design-in checklist
The 926 µA typical supply current at 8 MHz is roughly one-tenth the current of a comparable crystal oscillator plus load capacitors, which matters for battery-powered or thermally constrained boards.
Package and footprint — 8-MSOP
Housed in an 8-MSOP package with a 0.118-inch (3.00 mm) body width, surface-mount. The footprint is identical to the 8-TSSOP outline, so a layout designed for the LTC6930IMS8 or LTC6930HMS8 accepts this part without PCB changes — the only difference is the temperature grade suffix.
