100 MHz fixed-frequency silicon oscillator in TSOT-23-5
The LTC6905HS5-100#TRMPBF is a silicon oscillator from Analog Devices delivering a fixed 100 MHz output from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply rail, drawing 8 mA typical supply current. The TSOT-23-5 footprint (SOT-23-5 Thin) fits tight board layouts where a crystal oscillator module would consume more area.
Supply-voltage flexibility and current budget
The 2.7V to 5.5V supply range means the oscillator can be powered directly from a 3.3V or 5V rail without a dedicated LDO. The 8 mA supply current is the total load on that rail — no external bias resistors or load capacitors are needed, unlike a crystal-based oscillator. Compared to the LTC6905HS5-80#TRMPBF (80 MHz, 7 mA), the 100 MHz variant draws 1 mA more for the higher frequency. The LTC6905IS5-100#TRPBF shares the same 100 MHz output but is rated only to 85°C, so the HS5 suffix is the choice for extended-temperature designs.
