ORing controller for dual-supply priority
The LTC4412HS6#TRMPBF is a PowerPath™ source selector switch – an ORing diode controller that lets two power sources (e.g., wall adapter and battery) share a common load without a discrete Schottky diode. It drives an external P-Channel MOSFET to connect the higher-voltage input to the output, with a 2:1 input-to-output ratio and internal switch no.
2.5V to 28V supply, 15 µA quiescent
Supply range 2.5V to 28V covers single-cell Li-ion through 24V industrial rails. The 15 µA supply current keeps the overhead negligible in battery-powered handheld and USB-powered supply designs – no trade-off between source selection and standby drain.
Industrial temperature grade, TSOT-23-6
Housed in a TSOT-23-6 package (surface mount), it fits tight PCB layouts alongside the external P-Channel MOSFET.
On/off timing: 110 µs turn-on, 13 µs turn-off
Delay time on is 110 µs, delay time off is 13 µs – the controller responds fast enough to prevent a voltage droop during source transitions while filtering out brief supply glitches. No internal switches; the external P-Channel MOSFET handles the pass current, so the controller's own dissipation stays low.
Sourcing and lifecycle posture
Lifecycle status is Active, ROHS3 compliant.
