Supply protection controller with a 2.5V to 60V window
The Analog Devices LTC4367CDD-1#PBF is a supply protection controller that monitors the input rail and drives an external N-channel MOSFET to disconnect the load when the supply voltage strays outside a programmed window. Its 2.5V to 60V supply range covers common telecom, industrial, and automotive battery rails — from a 3.3V logic bus up to a 48V telecom feed or a nominal 12V/24V vehicle system. The part operates with a 70 µA supply current, low enough to leave on the input side of the protection switch without a meaningful idle-power penalty.
Package and thermal interface
The exposed pad is the main thermal path — without it the junction temperature climbs quickly under fault conditions where the external MOSFET dissipates power. Surface-mount assembly with a standard lead-free reflow profile works; the DFN package is MSL 1 per the typical Analog Devices rating, so no bake is required if the moisture barrier bag is intact.
Temperature grade and deployment scope
It is not suited for automotive under-hood or outdoor industrial enclosures where the ambient regularly dips below freezing or exceeds 70°C. For those environments, the industrial-temperature variant (LTC4367IDD-1#PBF, -40°C to 85°C) is the appropriate choice.
