I²C hot-swap buffer accelerator for live-insertion backplanes
The LTC4307IMS8-1#PBF is a 2-channel I²C buffer accelerator designed for hot-swap applications, allowing cards to be inserted or removed from a live backplane without corrupting the bus.
The 10 pF input capacitance is low enough that it does not load the upstream bus segment significantly, preserving signal integrity when multiple cards are daisy-chained. The 8 mA supply current is the total for both channels; budget it in the power calculation for the I²C rail.
