Product details

Package and board-fit: 8-WFDFN exposed pad

The LTC4058EDD-4.2#PBF comes in an 8-WFDFN exposed pad package (3x3 mm body), surface-mount, supplied in tube.

Single-cell Li-Ion charging: 4.2 V, 950 mA, programmable current

This is a constant-current / constant-voltage linear charger for a single lithium-ion cell (1 cell). The battery pack voltage is fixed at 4.2 V, and the maximum charge current is 950 mA — set by an external resistor on the PROG pin. The programmable current feature (via the PROG pin) lets the BOM engineer scale the charge rate down for smaller cells or thermal constraints without changing the IC.

Supply and temperature envelope

The charger operates from a supply voltage up to 6.5 V (max) and draws the charge current from the input rail.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum charge current and battery voltage?

The maximum charge current is 950 mA, programmable via an external resistor. The battery pack voltage is fixed at 4.2 V for a single lithium-ion cell.
