Quad 1.25 A step-down for multi-rail point-of-load
The LTC3644IY-2#PBF from Analog Devices is a quad-output synchronous buck regulator that delivers up to 1.25 A per channel from a 2.7 V to 17 V input rail. It is designed for distributed power architectures where a single intermediate bus feeds multiple low-voltage point-of-load rails — think FPGA core and I/O banks, multi-rail SoC supplies, or base-station line cards that need four independent 0.6 V to 17 V outputs sequenced or paralleled. The 2.25 MHz fixed switching frequency keeps external inductors and capacitors small, and the internal synchronous rectifiers eliminate the external catch diode that a non-synchronous design would need. Packaged in a 36-BGA (5x5 mm), it is sized for dense boards where every square millimeter counts.
Active lifecycle — no last-time-buy pressure
This part carries an Active product status and ROHS3 compliance. For a four-rail regulator specified into a multi-year production program, the Active status removes one sourcing worry.
Sourcing this part for your BOM
If your BOM needs a quad buck in the 36-BGA footprint, this is the active, production-grade part to qualify.
